StorageMart is one of the largest privately owned self-storage companies in the world, operating hundreds of storage facilities across the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom. The company provides secure, convenient storage solutions for individuals and businesses, with a strong focus on customer service, accessibility, and modern facility management. StorageMart continues to expand its global footprint while investing heavily in digital tools that make it easier for customers to find locations, choose unit sizes, and complete rentals online.
StorageMart Website Redesign
The legacy StorageMart website had several structural limitations. It was not responsive, creating a poor experience on mobile devices, and a data synchronization issue between the website and backend systems frequently disrupted the online rental process.
The redesign focused on resolving these foundational problems while improving the customer path to rental. The new site introduced a fully responsive, mobile-first framework and stabilized the rental flow by addressing the underlying data-sync issues. Additional features included a storage sizing tool to help customers estimate unit needs, location search by ZIP code, integrated Google Maps for facility discovery, and a content-driven blog to support SEO and customer education.
Following the relaunch, StorageMart saw online rentals increase by more than 70%.
Role
Front-end development and CMS integration within the Sitefinity platform. Worked in Visual Studio alongside the internal development team to implement responsive templates and production UI.
Primary responsibilities included:
• Building the responsive front-end architecture using HTML and CSS
• Implementing form validation and rental flow UI
• Integrating components within the Sitefinity CMS
• Collaborating with a third-party designer to translate mobile-first layouts into production-ready code
• Optimizing pages for performance and search visibility through page speed and SEO improvements.
