About the Civic Council of Kansas City
The Civic Council of Kansas City is a coalition of business and civic leaders working to advance major initiatives that support the region’s economic growth, infrastructure, and community development.
Civic Council Website Redesign
The previous Civic Council website was outdated, difficult to maintain, and did not effectively represent the organization’s role in shaping the future of Kansas City. The redesign focused on creating a modern, professional digital presence that better communicated the Council’s mission, initiatives, and leadership.
Through collaborative design sessions with stakeholders, the project clarified priorities and aligned the website with the organization’s strategic goals. Interactive wireframes and prototypes created in Adobe XD helped accelerate decision-making and maintain alignment throughout the process.
The final site was built on the Umbraco Cloud CMS, providing a flexible and maintainable platform for ongoing updates. The design emphasizes clarity and structure, including a responsive CSS Grid layout on the About page to organize member information and historical content.
